I used my remaining lamps to build from that mountain the the roof, and got from the roof through the open window of the top-most tower! What an experience! The map itself was great, of course, by the way.įirst off, I wish this map was longer because I really admired it!! The magic of a great texture pack, Command Block goodness, special gear and potions (that saved my life) and probably the best freakin' mansion out there! This map used a lot of creative ideas with the music and command blocks, and the random screams and noises like in the Crypt scared me, for real. I found my way back up to solid ground, and climbed the highest mountain, from which I had a spectacular view of the entire back side of the mansion.
There was an empty chest on top - what a disappointment. Anway, I parkour'd my way to the complete opposite corner of the map, and built a bridge over to this big netherrack/stone mountain thing.
There were testificates all over the place - and there was a sign in a language that appeared to be french. I built my way over to the massive redstone complex underneath the map. I broke ALL those lamps, which you can do in survival mode for some reason. How did I get there? In survival mode, I jumped my way out of the swamp, found the huge box that you end the map in (with the ending message in glowstone lamps), and dropped down to the outside of it. That's why it hurt all the more when they inevitably got shut down, due to complications from updates to the game, and flat out not having enough resources to sustain the project.Ĭalling this a long shot would be far, far beyond an understatement, but it's been over half a decade since the day it got shut down, and things have changed quite a bit from that time, player counts have reached levels far beyond what was thought possible, the network as a whole has been improved significantly, to the point where it doesn't even feel like Minecraft anymore at times, is there any possible way to do some sort of resurrection or remastered version of some of these maps? Imagining reliving my childhood with improved mechanics, building, and the story, calling it incredible couldn't even begin to do it justice.Wahahaha! I stand now in the highest tower atop Herobrine's mansion! The very highest tower. I made some of my first online friends there, and they have changed my life. For me, this was my everything back in ~2013. If you were like me and played Hypixel at the beginning of its life, before Skyblock, Bedwars, and even Skywars, you probably remember playing the adventure maps, that were around at the time: Herobrine's Mansion, Herobrine's Return, Wrath of the Fallen, etc.
